Sleeping in the Hut
The Rooms
- The Rifugio Città di Carpi has 5 rooms with bunk beds, for a total of 22 beds
- To sleep at the Città di Carpi mountain hut you need to book in advance: please write us an email at rifugiocarpi@libero.it
- The use of a sleeping bag liner is mandatory (it’s sort of very light and compact fabric bag to be carried in a rucksack). This needs to be placed over the sheets on the beds, which are already equipped with pillows and duvets.
For those who do not have one, it is possible to purchase the non-woven sheet bag in the hut. The Italian Alpine Club provides this obligation with a view to saving resources and protecting the environment. - It is necessary to bring your own towels, which are not provided in the refuge, while at the entrance you will find comfortable slippers to wear to go up to the rooms, where it is not possible to enter with hiking boots, for obvious reasons of hygiene and cleanliness.
- In the morning, you need to vacate the room by 8:30.
- A careful and moderate use of resources is always desirable, both for water and for electricity: therefore you will not find plugs for hairdryers or razors in the bathrooms and bedrooms.
The Breakfast
The breakfast during the summer season is served from 7:00 to 8:00 with a large buffet, which offers the classic bread with butter and jam, but also cold cuts and cheese for those who prefer something salty, in addition to homemade cakes and yogurt with muesli and cereals.
Coffee, milk or tea accompany everything, so that you can leave with the right energy to face a wonderful walk in the mountains.
The Bathrooms
The shared bathrooms on the ground floor have recently been renovated (in 2018).
There are three sinks, three toilets and a paid shower: the cost of the shower serves to limit its use, with a view to attention and conservation of water resources.
The Prices of the Summer season 2024
- Half board for Alpine Club Members € 56.00
- Half board non-members € 70.00
- Overnight stay for Alpine Club Members € 25.00
- Overnight stay for non-members € 32.00
- Breakfast Buffet € 14.00
Half board includes dinner, overnight stay and buffet breakfast. Prices are per night per person.
We are sorry for the inconvenience, but at the moment we only accept cash payments, due to lack of connection to the Wi-Fi network!
Opening Period
The hut will be open during the Christmas holidays from 26th December, then all the weekends in winter (weather conditions allowing).
We’ll open again in June 2025 for the summer season.
