Eating in the Hut
On the menu of the Rifugio Città di Carpi you will find the typical dishes of alpine huts, genuine and homemade with quality ingredients.
The menu includes a few simple dishes, prepared with care, mostly using products from our area.
Our specialties are soups to warm you up after a long walk at high altitude, canederli (typical bread dumplings), polenta and the classic filling dish of eggs with speck and potatoes.
And then there are the classic mountain desserts for your sweet tooth: apple strudel, linzer, buckwheat cake.
The kitchen is open every day from 12:00 to 14:30 for lunch.
Dinner is served at 6.30 pm for guests staying overnight or for those who want to take an afternoon walk, have dinner and then go back down to the valley at sunset (by reservation only).
We remind you that the refuge is located in an isolated area, and deliveries are not immediate: be patient if not everything is always available or if waiting times are a bit long on busy days.
We do not take lunch reservations and we do not accept credit or debit card payments due to problems with the telephone line.
